Postcard Swap

I was down with flu yesterday. I've not been sick like this for a long, long time. Anyhow, now after I've started the antibiotics I feel much better.
Last month, Marcia Beckett the moderator of the site initiated a postcard swap. I too had signed up for it and made three postcards.

All the three paintings were done on Strathmore watercolor postcards. I stitched seed beads on the decorative part of the elephant. It was time consuming but well worth the effort.

Thanks for checking

  1. Susan, I love how you incorporated the beading on the elephant postcard. It looks beautiful.

  2. I got my card in the mail today. It was a very sweet surprise. Your cards are wonderful! Thanks!

  3. So beautiful they are! :-)
Love the traditional styles (can you say that?)

  4. Hello Susan, I hope you are feeling better now. Thank you so much for my beautiful fish postcard, which arrived at my house in the UK this morning :) The colours are so wonderfully bright and happy - such a welcome change from the grey skies and buff coloured envelopes with the bills!

  5. WOW WOW WOW, these are all gorgeous Susan. I love the beading on the elephant, well worth it. The fish is so cute and bright! The first one is always so sweet to me, love when you do these kinds.

Way to go on getting them done so beautifully and I'm so proud of you for taking this next step with your art. I think you should share any chance you get, it always makes me happy and others will be too.

Love reading the comments here from the recivers of them.
    Feel better dear friend!

  6. Thank you all for your kind words.
Marcia and Joanna I am so happy that you liked the cards. Thank you Marcia for hosting such a wonderful swap.
