Tea for Breakfast

Hope you all had a lovely Memorial weekend. I had a wonderful time here. We had  a book sale at our local library and I got some old books. I'm planning to alter and create some journals out of them.

Today I want to share an Indian breakfast picture at Elizabeth's T stands for Tuesday. This is a typical south Indian  breakfast that consist of tea, idly, curry(in the small bowl) and  coconut chutney. Idly is made by steaming fermented rice and lentil batter. They are one of the healthiest meals that you get in India, especially in the south. They are usually served with the curry and chutney. This is a photo that I clicked when we were in India. I make them here too as my kids love to have them.

This is a doodle that I did some time ago and it was only last week that I added color to it.

Another summer sketch of bird and flowers.
That is all for this week. Wishing you all a happy Tuesday.

  1. Stunning art, lovely colors on your doodles, and the breakfast sounds really, really yummy. Far better than bacon (or sausage) and eggs most people in the US seem to consume in one form or another. I was really impressed and am going to see if I can find the recipe.

Thanks for sharing this really healthy looking (and sounding) breakfast for T this Tuesday.

  2. Both pieces of art are just gorgeous! Very creative and colorful! Memorial Day weekend must be a common time for libraries to have book sales as our local one did, too. Unfortunately, I missed it this year, but it is a good thing I have a couple of books in my stash to alter!
