5 Layers that I love

Last week's challenge for the DLP was to add five layers that we love.

This is the page I came up with

Layer-1 was to adhere book page to the journal. Next, I covered it with white texture medium

Layer-3  I added water colors to the page and traced and painted the heron.

Layer-4 was to add a scrap paper to it.
And finally the black and white circles were added to the page.

Love taking part in challenges. They really help in stretching our imagination and playing with the supplies.
I am linking my page to paintpartyfriday and Julie's Art Journal Everyday

  1. Love the soothing colors and summery feel to your heron page Susan! I agree with you about the challenges too:)

  2. Lovely work! You would be welcome to link to Art Journal Journey, too, our theme is things with wings. Valerie

  3. Wonderful background for your heron. I see a distant horizon and beautiful water (good fishing no doubt).

  4. Wow I love this page thank you for sharing your process, there is so much to see in this piece of art.

  7. Hello Susan, sorry it's been so long since I visited. Not much time lately for the computer. This is beautiful and great for the challenge. I know you enjoy challenges and layers so glad it was a fun one for you. How are you and the kids? Good job keeping up with your art and posting!! The weather is going to warm up some this week and hopefully melt the snow. It's been over a month since we saw grass and I MISS IT!! Do you know when you'll be home? I'm trying to post when I can even if it's not for the T link up, Take care dear friend, love and hugs!
