Here is more art from The 100 Days Project. When my children were small I thought once they reach the school age I will have a lot more free time. But now I realize that is so wrong. Weeks fly by and always there's something or the other for us to take part in. My little one starts KG next school year. We had to go for the orientation this week, my oldest had a musical concert at school for which he played the violin, art classes here, the usual household chores and cooking, oh my gosh! in between I create more art, try taking bett er photos which sadly never comes out great...so on and on:-)
Anyways back to art. ..
Day-28 I was experimenting negative painting here. I need to practice this method a lot more.
Day-29 Seahorse in watercolor
Day-30 A mixed media piece from my Art Journal. This is my take for The DLP Unplanner challenge from last week. The art challenge was to use 'Under paper'.
This is the big sheet of paper with all the excess paints and gelli prints that I had. I used a part of it to create the tree and the flowers. Finally I added the watercolor bird and the deer to my page. Finished it with a quote, "Everyday is a Second Chance." (Unknown )
For today, Day-31 I have this watercolor tag I made to give someone. Love the soft look of it I'm sure I will be creating more of this kind.
That is all for this week. Wishing you all a happy weekend
I'm linking my post to the wonderful team at PPF and Sunday Sketches
Thank you
Susan
These are all fabulous. I think as time goes by you have less of it for some reason. LOL Have a wonderful weekend.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great post! And fabulous art! And after all that beautiful artwork you have a big paper just waiting to be a background or another piece of collage. I really love that tag! Have a great weekend and a wonderful week ahead! Rasz
ReplyDeleteAnother collection of great pieces Susan ♥ you do such great work and I do so admire your dedication.
ReplyDeleteYour three-dimensional work is beautiful. I also liked the others very much. What a wonderful artist you are!
ReplyDeleteYour work is really beautiful! I don't think life ever gets easier, so make the time to do what you love!
ReplyDeleteWonderful display of art pieces, Susan! I think my favourite would be the seahorse. :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Sunday Sketching! :)
My favorite piece this week is the tag with the impressionist style pink flowers. Enjoy your children while they're small, since once they're in college, it gets harder to enjoy time with them. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful collection of work this week. That last little thank you card is absolutely the sweetest ever. Like your example of negative painting. I have no idea with that is so will have to go to You Tube and learn something new today. Your mixed media page had to probably be my favorite. You are so creative. genie
ReplyDeleteVery nice pieces for your 100 days
ReplyDeleteYou have been very busy! Amazing artwork here! <3
ReplyDeleteOh yes, I understand you very well. A mum's job is really a big challange. But as Arnoldo said, you will miss them so much when they are grown up. My son is now 32 and sometimes I remember with a tinge of nostalgia the busy times when he was a six year old school boy. Beside of that you got a lot of great artwork done! My favourite are the orange flowers and the tag with the roses.
ReplyDeleteWell you've done a great job considering all your obligations!! Always a challenge when raising then and even after that others things take your time... Scheduling art like you would a doctors appointment is the only way to assure time to create!!Beautiful pieces!!
