The raindrops on the fence
Do they resemble tear drops?

Or do they sparkle like diamonds?

Each gem tries to kiss the greens below it

Trickle, trickle, trickle

Slowly they merge with the leaves

The rain adorns the saplings with rich jade

On which little rubies and garnets rest

The silky breeze caresses them.

The sky dressed in a black robe

Is all set again to start the chorus showers.

Love Always

  4. Reading this second poem, I see that the first was not a fluke. Well done. One question, if I may. You use punctuation in your poetry, which I love and think in necessary, why no commas in: “The sky dressed in a black robe” It is the only line that caused me to pause. My preference, which means exactly nothing, would be: The sky, dressed in a black robe,
    I’m just sayin’.
