Whimsical Spring

I made this page out of colored tissue paper. I made a spring page with colored tissues as craft for the kids. Loved the result and wanted one in my Art Journal too. Added all the pretty bead butterflies among the leaves.

Below is part of the poem by Robert Burns :
                       "Again rejoicing nature sees
Her robe assume its vernal hues
Her leafy locks wave in the breeze
All freshly steep'd in the morning dews."

I'm linking this page to Dawn's 'Green Week' as green is so much a part of this beautiful season. Thank you Dawn, for coming up with this color. I enjoyed playing and experimenting with it in many ways.
I'm also linking this to Julie Balzer's Art Journal Everyday post.

Thank you

  1. Susan, this is soooo pretty. I love all the colors you used. The red pops up so nice with the green and how cute the butterflies are.

There were a few ideas that I didn't get to do and working with tissue paper was one of them. Hoping to do this really soon though, you are sooooo creative with it.

Thank you for playing along with me, was neat to see what you would have as your pages. All your art was great this week and mixed up, so thank you for the time it took to do this.

I just posted my last project, real simple one due to the lack of time but still happy I did them.

We might have to do this again, having a theme challenges me and motivates me!!

    Have a great weekend!
