Circles

I did this page as part of the Second Floor Challenge. If you want to know more about it go here:  http://balzerdesigns.typepad.com/balzer_designs/2012/05/second-floor-challenge-4-circles.html

I have never used so many circles on one page before. Did layers and layers of circles with book pages, paint, water color pencil and punchinella. Love the result. I am all set to experiment more with circles.

  5. Hi Susan - Thanks so much for the lovely comment you wrote on Denise's Harvest Moon blog about my Celtic mandalas that she showcased recently. Your beautiful circles series reminds me very much of the triple spirals that are found so much on all ancient Irish art and craft, especially on the illuminated manuscripts like the Book of Kells, which is what inspired me, as well. I've just subscribed to your blog, and I'm delighted with all that's here. A delight to the senses with all your creative intentions. Thanks again for your comment, and I look forward to seeing more inspired paintings like you've done on this Second Floor Challenge. Slan go foill - June
