Root: Day6-9

Yayy! it is warm here. We have a temperature of 30F+ I'm so happy with this when compared to what we had to bear the last couple days.

So far I have been journaling every day  and love the process. I don't try to stress too much in trying to end up with something beautiful, instead I try to ask myself what I want, and then the layers start evolving and I take short breaks in between,  and after  playing for a while I just stop playing and consider the page to be finished.

This month I'm creating each page based on Lisa Sonora Beam's 30 Day Journal Project-Root
Day:6 The quote was about our quest for Perfection. I did a page mainly in black with acrylics and for some color I added the flowers to it. I digitally added the quote to the page.

Day:7 She emphasizes on going gently, be it with this journaling project or even with life in general.I created this page using shades of orange and red and added tons of stamping to it.

Day:8 the prompt was all about how and where we are rooted. I doodled and stenciled on a painted background and also added a quote that I found on the internet: "For a tree to become tall it must grow tough roots among the rocks."(sorry, I forgot to note down the source of this meaningful line)

Day:9 For yesterday's prompt she gave an inspiring quote by Goethe :
"A man should hear a little music, read a little poetry, and see a fine picture everyday of his life, ..."
If you go to Lisa's site you can find all the ten prompts that she has given so far.
This page has it all- some musical notes, part of poetry and a sketch from a Sherlock Holmes' book (don't have a movie picture with me:)

That is it for this week. Hopefully will share more art with you all next week.Linking this page with PPF and Art Journal Everyday
Thank you

  6. Nice pages. I especially like neutrals with the men/Sherlock on it. How did you get your background to look so cool?
