I'm back to creating backgrounds. Some days I go crazy with paints and create many background pages. Today morning I did four. My daily mug of Folgers' coffee is nearby.
I'm continuing with my Art Journaling process that is part of the free online class offered by Lisa Sonora Beam, named Roots-30 Day Journal Project.
For Day-8 I did a girl on a background page. I know I messed her up but I like this colorful background that was created out of Dylusion sprays and Twinks.Day -9 A mixed media page out of acrylics and stencils. I'm also journaling for each prompt that she has given for each day.
This page that I created for Day-10 was purely experimental. Apart from gesso, I've only used water colors, gelatos and Twinks with stencils. There is a nice shimmer to this page but on the photo it doesn't show.
Day-11 The quote was about giving birth to something beautiful from the chaos that is within you. My Lotus was born thus-:)
That is it with the daily prompts. Below is my current week's DLP page. The challenge was to use an under painting on your journal. You can see that I've used a kitchen roll which had left over paints on the right end side of my journal. I then glued some doodled flowers on the page.
Thank you my dear blogger friends for all your kind words. It is always so much appreciated. I'm linking my page today at Elizabeth's T stands for Tuesday.
Wishing you all a creative Tuesday

ReplyDeletereally lovely pages and backgrounds Susan. I especially love the words and page with the lotus blossom. Happy T day!
DeleteGreat work, I particularly like the lotus page. Someone else mentioned the underpapers, they must be in the same group you are in. You made nice use of those papers.

I can tell you and Dianne are in the same DLP challenges. This is really daunting, and your pages are stunning, especially, as others have noted, the lotus blossom.
ReplyDeleteThe ONLY thing I don't like about Twinks is they simply don't show their beauty on either a scan or in a photo. So glad to see you are playing with yours.
I adore those backgrounds. They could be finished pieces as far as I'm concerned. Thanks for sharing them, as well as your mug of coffee today for T, dear Susan.
Your pages are simply stunning! Such an explosion of color--I love them all, and I agree with E that many of them look like finished paintings by themselves!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful colorful backgrounds...and love the lotus!
ReplyDeleteWow! You are really having fun with that free class! I can never get the shimmer to show up well in a photo, either. I can't get the right shades of color, either, for that matter--LOL! These all look great. :)
ReplyDeleteHappy T-Day! :)
