To You My Son
It’s past midnight and the world around me is still
The shadows cast by the kerosene lamp flicker,
They seem to convey a silent message of hope
And this letter to you makes me feel I’m still at home
Proudly enacting the father’s role.
These silent words on the paper echo my love for you
These conversations help me go forward each day
Dear son No, these are not the wild imaginations
Or ramblings of a schizophrenic father,
They are the only thin lines of hope and joy the father in me has
From the dark corners of this mental asylum.

Yesterday I watched a very touching movie where a schizophrenic father admitted into a mental asylum lives in the hope that his dear son will come any time to take him back home. For thirteen years he keeps on writing to his son but sadly never gets even a single reply. In the end his hope dies and he commits suicide. The story ends with the son turning into a mental patient.

  3. Dear Susan,

Why a pessimistic creation this time?
    All OK?

    Best Regards,

  4. I dont know, what to write here! My words fail, friend. There's still a numbness spreading through the back of my head. If time permits, reat this (http://blogs.rediff.com/nightrain/2007/05/31/25/). You will realise.
