"You will recognize your own path when you come upon it, because you will suddenly have all the ENERGY and IMAGINATION you will ever need." Jerry Gillies
This quote is so true or else how can I explain my getting up before sunrise and playing with my paints in my art journal.
I don't set any alarm but most of the days I'm up by 5 in the morning. I love and hold the next two to two and a half hours precious as I sit with my coffee mug, sketch book, journals and paints without any interruption. Even if I hit the bed only at midnight, I'll be up the next morning at five (most of the days) and with great energy and enthusiasm I start to do something creative.
When do you love to create, early mornings, day time or late in the night?

Are you all getting ready to play at Kristin's SOC3? I'm very excited about the event. Can't wait to start on the challenge next Monday.
Thank you all for your kind words on my previous posts. I too try my best to visit each one of you and comment on your wonderful creations.
Have a great weekend

Susan, your journal pages are so gorgeous. The design, the colors, the butterflies, everything is so perfect. I'm just OCD enough that I can't play till I get the house a bit straight and have my oatmeal and yogurt. I wish I could.
ReplyDeleteHi Susan, what a BEAUTIFUL page this is!! LOVE LOVE the colors and everything you did with it!! What a great start to your day this was, I would be happy too and the quote is a good one.
ReplyDeleteI get up at 5 everyday too and don't use an alarm either, how funny we both do this. I feed the pets and make my hot tea and start checking my emails, blog read and then might start something. I do craft a little bit thru most days, I leave it out at the table. Sometimes 3 projects at once, even if I'm done I leave them out just to look at during the day. I never stay up late anymore though, not sure how you can do that either with little ones. You must have more energy then me, most nights I'm in bed by 10, getting old aren't I??!!
I'm going to Archiver's today, it's a major scrapbook store around the world. Well, they just got in Project Life kits and albums and I want to go look and see all the different ones and just might buy one. I do miss having the regular kit and at the same time want this saved money for my class coming up. uuugggg what's a girl suppose to do with all these options, haha! Will let you know what I get and will probably jump right into using it. Would be perfect timing since it's the beginning of June and half way thru the year.
Have a wonderful weekend and YES, very excited about SOC coming up!! So nice to be in it together.
HUGS!
Love these pages and your butterflies are lovely. Morning, yes, me too, but lately around dinner time as well. Happy PPF

Beautiful pages! I tend to find inspiration in the morning, then actually follow through creating in whichever way at night time, while I watch t.v.... So this includes not only art journaling, but any crafting or crocheting projects as well. It's all a great way for me to de-stress and wind down... to hear myself think.. and to just let loose the creative side of me, the crafter, the artist, that's been waiting since morning to be set free!
