Faces 22, 23 and 24

Time for Tea again with Bluebeard and Elizabeth and all the others who are a part of this challenge. The best part of this week is that I got to do my post early:) .

Today I wanted to share with you the next three faces that I did for Days: 22, 23 and 24

I did this face as part of Week-9th challenge at The Documented Life Project. Their challenge was to create  a collage from recycled elements. The face on the right is my piece. It is done on a brown paper bag (similar to the paper on the left) The hats on her head are all from scraps that I've painted. The face itself is painted on a waste paper that I usually keep underneath my pages when I spray paint.

Day:23 and 24

Two quick sketches that I did. Can you see the outline of a tea cup on my first girl's face? On Sunday, I had some important matters to think about and she evolved from my thoughts...
The third one is a simple face that I did with just black watercolor pencil on an already created background.

Thank you for checking

  1. Your faces are all special. I really was drawn to the first one with the pretty butterfly at her neck and her colorful hat! I can't draw faces at all, so I was really impressed. Happy T Day!

  2. Once again, I am in awe of your drawing ability. Yes, of course I see the teacup in the beautiful painting for Day 23. Funny how your mind takes over your art, isn't it?

I had to laugh, because there isn't a Trader Joe's within a 1000 miles of me, so I'd never heard of it till I went to CA one year. Of course, I fell in LOVE with their bags and used every bit of fodder from the one I had after a visit there. So, it's nice to see they are still being reused as collage fodder.

Thanks for sharing your lovely faces for T today, and I'm thrilled to see you are posting early. Not that it matters, of course.

  3. love the teacup face...I didn't catch it until you pointed it out. always fun to see what personalities your faces will be showing...

  4. i'm impressed by the way you were able to incorporate the tea cup into the face so naturally. the eyes in your faces are so expressive!

  5. Thank you for sharing your great faces with us!!!
I am enjoying seeing all of the people participating in the 29 Faces challenge...
    so much creativity and inspiration...
    Happy T Day to you

  6. Lovely drawings. Faces are so difficult!! esp the eyes. Mine always end up with a "deer in the headlights" sort of look. I've given up. :)
    Happy Tuesday!

  7. I really do enjoy seeing all your wonderful faces and equally wonderful backgrounds. Love the tea cup face-how clever you are!

  8. Happy early T Day, how funny that you beat me this time. I had no time yesterday or last night, thank goodness I got to it this morning.
Susan, I LOOOOVE these faces SO MUCH!! The creativity and imagination that you put into each one is awesome and inspiring. I think the second one is my favorite but really love them all. Your almost done with this challenge, YAY!! What a great job you did on them and on keeping up. So happy for you dear friend. Can't wait to see the last of them but will miss them too.
    Have a great week! HUGS!

  9. I love the tea cup face, how fantastic is that!!
Thanks for stopping by for T this week.

  10. Great faces! It looks like you are pretty caught up with the challenge. I am still playing catch up.
    Happy T-day!

  11. Love your pages, especially the tea cup face :)

  12. All of the faces are wonderful.
    Love them.

  13. Hi! There are not enough hours in the day, and I ran out of time to visit all the T-Day blogs yesterday. So, here I am on a Wednesday.

Your faces are all great, and I like how you incorporated scraps. Your work is very inspiring. I used to draw faces often, but I haven't made the time for it lately. Maybe I should start again, eh?

  14. Love your journal pages and faces and the teacup one is brilliantly done!

  15. LOL! Love the tea cup head and handle ear!
    Happy belated T-Day! :)

  16. I do see the teacup! (Very clever!)
I am loving scrolling through all of your faces and seeing the fun variety!

  17. Wonderful entries in your journal! Love how the background gives the drawing an edge. :)

  18. I'm woefully late on last weeks T Tuesday. I really like your faces though. Another online group is doing 100 faces - different challenge. Faces seem to be popping up everywhere.
