Faces 22, 23 and 24

Time for Tea again with Bluebeard and Elizabeth and all the others who are a part of this challenge. The best part of this week is that I got to do my post early:) .

Today I wanted to share with you the next three faces that I did for Days: 22, 23 and 24
Day:22

I did this face as part of Week-9th challenge at The Documented Life Project. Their challenge was to create  a collage from recycled elements. The face on the right is my piece. It is done on a brown paper bag (similar to the paper on the left) The hats on her head are all from scraps that I've painted. The face itself is painted on a waste paper that I usually keep underneath my pages when I spray paint.

Day:23 and 24

Two quick sketches that I did. Can you see the outline of a tea cup on my first girl's face? On Sunday, I had some important matters to think about and she evolved from my thoughts...
The third one is a simple face that I did with just black watercolor pencil on an already created background.

Thank you for checking

  1. Your faces are all special. I really was drawn to the first one with the pretty butterfly at her neck and her colorful hat! I can't draw faces at all, so I was really impressed. Happy T Day!

  2. Once again, I am in awe of your drawing ability. Yes, of course I see the teacup in the beautiful painting for Day 23. Funny how your mind takes over your art, isn't it?

I had to laugh, because there isn't a Trader Joe's within a 1000 miles of me, so I'd never heard of it till I went to CA one year. Of course, I fell in LOVE with their bags and used every bit of fodder from the one I had after a visit there. So, it's nice to see they are still being reused as collage fodder.

Thanks for sharing your lovely faces for T today, and I'm thrilled to see you are posting early. Not that it matters, of course.

  6. Lovely drawings. Faces are so difficult!! esp the eyes. Mine always end up with a "deer in the headlights" sort of look. I've given up. :)
    Happy Tuesday!

  13. Hi! There are not enough hours in the day, and I ran out of time to visit all the T-Day blogs yesterday. So, here I am on a Wednesday.

Your faces are all great, and I like how you incorporated scraps. Your work is very inspiring. I used to draw faces often, but I haven't made the time for it lately. Maybe I should start again, eh?

  18. I'm woefully late on last weeks T Tuesday. I really like your faces though. Another online group is doing 100 faces - different challenge. Faces seem to be popping up everywhere.
