Tea with Misha...

Happy Tuesday dear Elizabeth and my other "Tea" friends.
I chose to click my art pictures at the park when we were there last Sunday.
I have for my drink here an almost empty bottle of plain water.  We are remembering to take in plenty of liquids this hot summer.

It was a Blue Moon night on the 31st of July. That month had two full moons and this was the second one. This event will be visible to us next only on the 31st January of 2018.
I wanted to remember this beautiful experience and thus this painting evolved.

  Misha
Inspired by the  paintings of Mindy Lacefield, I created this whimsical girl. But, once she was completed, she took be back to my childhood days when we used to receive a Children's Magazine, named Misha.
Misha was a Russian Magazine that was very popular in India in the 80's. I loved to flip through its pages that were filled with stories and colorful illustrations.
Sometimes when I create a piece of art, it takes me back to a particular event or time in my childhood.  This was one such moment. So I named her Misha-:)
That is all for today
Linking my post at T stands for Tuesday
Hope you all have a wonderful Tuesday
Hugs

  6. Lovely art work. I had heard that stat about the Blue Moon. I was happy that I saw it because I won't want to step outside for the next one...usually too cold in January. :)

  7. I was lucky enough to see the Blue Moon, but didn't take a photo of it. Wish I had because January is far too cold to be out to capture it.

Misha is an adorable painting. I enjoyed the back story of how her name came into being. What a great way to remember and honor your childhood.

Thanks for sharing your water (and for reminding us we need to drink it), your moon, and your adorable little girl with us for T this Tuesday. Your paintings are really wonderful, Susan.
