I did this page as part of the Second Floor Challenge. If you want to know more about it go here: http://balzerdesigns.typepad.com/balzer_designs/2012/05/second-floor-challenge-4-circles.html
I have never used so many circles on one page before. Did layers and layers of circles with book pages, paint, water color pencil and punchinella. Love the result. I am all set to experiment more with circles.

Hi Ariel,
ReplyDeleteI found your blog from Balzer designs.
You did a wonderful job here I love all of the circles. Looks like you had fun and great colors!
I'm going now to check out the rest of your blog. Have a great weekend!
Love where you've gone with this Ariel-thanks for sharing it on Art Journal Everyday!! I know of the Second Floor Challenge but it's just too much for me to keep up with right now.
ReplyDeleteI love the colors! They are so festive and inspiring. I haven't worked on my art journal as much lately, but you got me inspired.
ReplyDeleteHi Susan, OMG OMG I LOVE LOVE the circles. They are my favorite shape, you did an amazing job with them. Love love all the layers and the way it kept changing, each time looks great!!! The colors are bright and fun also. Will have to do this in my journal too now and share it with you. That's great you tried something new and did such a great job with it.
ReplyDeleteSorry I haven't been here lately, been a crazy week with my getting sick and then sicker so fast. I am doing well now though and looking forward to catching up on your blog. This made me sooo happy!!
Have a great week.
Hi Susan - Thanks so much for the lovely comment you wrote on Denise's Harvest Moon blog about my Celtic mandalas that she showcased recently. Your beautiful circles series reminds me very much of the triple spirals that are found so much on all ancient Irish art and craft, especially on the illuminated manuscripts like the Book of Kells, which is what inspired me, as well. I've just subscribed to your blog, and I'm delighted with all that's here. A delight to the senses with all your creative intentions. Thanks again for your comment, and I look forward to seeing more inspired paintings like you've done on this Second Floor Challenge. Slan go foill - June

Thank you all for your lovely comments. Creating art is a happy process but when it helps in meeting like-minded souls it gets yummier-:)
