A late submission to Elizabeth's T for Tuesday. I tried to post yesterday but there was so much to do here at home that I just lost track of time.
The above flowers on a tea cup page was done in acrylics.

These are my Thankful pages for Day-4 and 5. I'm grateful for being able to enjoy this beautiful season. For Day- 5 I've thanked for the love of art that I have in me.

October Blessings

Why does time go this fast? It has been more than a week since I've posted here.
Well, these are some of the things I'd been doing in the last week.
This is another painting that I did from Priscilla Hauser's book, Little Landscapes. This is a great book on acrylic painting. I think this is my fifth painting from her book.

This is a watercolor painting that I tried after watching a very talented lady's video. Thank you Laurie for sharing your wonderful videos.

Last week we went on a six mile trek to see the Fall colors.

This is the beautiful view that waited for us after walking for three miles.

Dawn, this is one of my sky photos inspired by your awesome sky pictures.

This week I got a very sweet package from a wonderful friend. She graciously gifted me with some  photos and a lot of Project Life cards. I wanted to share them here. Thank you Dawn, for the wonderful surprise.
I love love the colors and patterns. I still have got to do the journaling on some of them.

Thank you so much for the sketches and the photos too. They are all safely treasured here.
That is it for now. I'm linking my post to PPF. If you click on this link you can see a lot of awesome art by other artists.
Thank you for being here

August Art

Compared to July I think August is going to be a quiet month(thankfully) for me.
Last month I was taking my son to the summer camp,to summer reading program at the library, karate, we made a holiday trip in the beginning of the month... On top of all that, I got busy with art too, with some postcard swaps, online classes and the Circle Journal, which I had already mentioned in my previous post. Oh my! the month went so fast that I can't believe it's already August.

This week I want to share with you the art that I did on my art journal. These two lighthouses were created as part of a challenge.

The red one is close to my heart because it is located in my hometown in India. For me, lighthouses were always an image of something sinister and haunting. But once I did these I just love them even more, now I see them as part of history, a building that may have witnessed so many interesting incidents of the past, a place that is sure to arouse one's curiosity. Guess, next time when I go home I need to make a visit to this lighthouse. My kids would also enjoy it.

I still find inspiration in Priscilla Hauser's book, Little Landscapes. This winter painting below was done from her book.

Paintings...

This week I want to share two projects that I did.
This is an acrylic painting on canvas that I did from the wonderful book Little Landscapes by Priscilla Hauser. I'm planning to give this as a birthday gift. Hope the one who is going to receive it will like it.

There are so many different ways to use our paintings. I did this winter painting again (I had  posted this painting here last week)  on the cover  page of this handmade journal.  I've used light printed pattern paper for the pages of this journal. So the winter landscape looks so apt as its cover.

Sage and Sepia

This is the last week challenge at Summer Of Colors hosted by Kristin. Kristin, thank you so much for adding more creative spark into our lives this summer with these great color combo challenges. I experimented with so many new colors which I would never have dreamt of doing in my everyday art.

This week's colors are Sage and Sepia. This is my first girl on canvas with a face. Her dress is almost this shade of green and the butterflies are a shade of sepia.

I'm also posting these two acrylic paintings that I did. Though there is no use of sage here, both the paintings have used lots of different shades of brown.[Please, click on the pictures to see better]
I found the tutorial for these two paintings from a wonderful book named Little Landscapes by Priscilla Hauser. It's a great book for those who love step by step tutorials.

I'm also linking these projects to PPF and Art Journal Everyday
Stay Cool everyone and wishing you all a great weekend.
