This week I want to share two projects that I did.
This is an acrylic painting on canvas that I did from the wonderful book Little Landscapes by Priscilla Hauser. I'm planning to give this as a birthday gift. Hope the one who is going to receive it will like it.
There are so many different ways to use our paintings. I did this winter painting again (I had posted this painting here last week) on the cover page of this handmade journal. I've used light printed pattern paper for the pages of this journal. So the winter landscape looks so apt as its cover.
I'm linking my post to PPF and Art Journal Everyday
Thank you

I really like your snowy painting.
ReplyDeleteSusan, you have two amazing and beautiful pieces here!!
ReplyDeleteThe first one is so beautiful and like something I'd see at the store or on a card. TRULY LOVE THIS and whoever gets it will love it and treasure and know how much you care about them. I love the water scene, it's the perfect amounts of blue and splashes of white. The lighthouse and little house are so sweet and love the lush color of the bushes/greenery. LOVE IT ALL!! you have been verrrry busy!
The second one is my favorite only because of the theme, TREES!! I love love this sooooo much, what I hope to do one day so lots more practice for me. It's perfect and STUNNING! How cool to put this on the book cover, looks cold just seeing it.
Happy weekend! Enjoy the cool down we are getting. Sam comes home in a couple hours, YIPPEEE!! Will be so nice to sleep tonight knowing all my kids are safe and sound in their own beds.
Wow, such gorgeous works! I love the coolness of the snowy journal cover. It makes all this heat around me disappear. And the lighthouse painting is beautiful and will certainly find its place on your birthday friend's wall.
ReplyDeleteBoth beautiful works and I adore your winter woodland book cover, Happy PPF, Annette x
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful....I could use a little snow in this heat...I am a winter girl....

It's winter here in Sydney, Australia but we never get snow like that. Your paintings are beautiful, especially the one on the cover. So lovely to decorate your art journal that way. Inspiring.
ReplyDeleteLovely, especially love the winter scene - fairyland! <3
ReplyDeletethese are stunning Susan!!! I know you're working with the book but still, you have to have innate talent to do such beautiful art. I looked at the book on Amazon but just not sure I could do anything like that.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous landscapes - that first one will be a cherished gift! I may not enjoy winter but I do love your book cover.
ReplyDeleteThese are a typical winter in Canada Susan and I love it. I love your sentiment of Gratitude...just lovely. You are soooooo talented and soooooo blessed to be able to multi media with gifting the world your creations. Best of luck! HPPF Samara
ReplyDeleteThank you so much everyone for your kind words here. I'm just so passionate about art and painting and guess the Almighty is encouraging and inspiring me to take each step in learning whatever I can at this moment.

I'm sure your birthday gift will be liked very much by the lucky receiver! Great painting for the cover of your art journal!
ReplyDeleteBoth works are lovely! What a wonderful gift. Especially like the journal cover! Happy PPF!
ReplyDeleteOh, I so love the winter scene!
ReplyDeleteIt's wonderful just like winter is to me.
Really, like both of them, though.
Dear sus
ReplyDeletei liked the sea shore painting too...
Hi Ariel,
ReplyDeleteI'm just coming across your blog now and I love your paintings you have posted. I have the same book as you are working from by Priscilla Hauser and have completed the Mesa scene. I'm super pleased with the results and am encouraged to tackle another project from the book. Keep up your awesome work! You have certainly motivated me to get back to the paints!
