It has been a long time since I have posted on my blog. There were so many unexpected twists and turns in our life in the past two months. Now I am currently in India and will be here for some time.
This year I'm not signing up for many challenges. One project that I had already signed up was the Documented Life Project. I like how this weekly project motivates me to open my journal and create.
Here are my Week-1 and Week-4
Week-4 The challenge was 'writing'. The journal prompt was 'Words with Friends'.
I did the background in black. The stars are all created using multicolored acrylics. Around the stars and the collage I wrote my thoughts on friendship using white sakura jelly roll pen.
Week-1 The art challenge was to use 'Book paper ' and the journal prompt was 'Be your own goal keeper'.
On the left I did a collage and wrote my goals there. My two words for this year are RISE AND CONTENTMENT.I have added both the words to my page. I also added a real peacock feather that I had with me for the last 15 years or so.
On the right side I used book pages. On it I used the only stencil I have with me right now and used acrylic on it.As we had to make a sudden trip I could only take very limited amount of art supplies.
The quote below says:"Fix your eyes forward on what you can do, not back on what you cannot change. " Tom Clancy
I'm linking my first post of this year to PPF and Julie's Art journal every day
Thank you for being here

Your journal pages are great. I especially like the two with black background. I haven't tried that yet but I really love the look. Also, the Tom Clancy quote is a great one.
