The challenge for April 11th, at DLP was to use acrylics. If you dilute the acrylic paints with plenty of water, you get a watercolor effect.
I first created a background. The tall grass was done using an old credit card. When you smear paint on the card's edges and swipe them on the page you get the grass impression. Next I used some bright colors and did the flowers.
Then came the deer. Again they were drawn by my 8 year old son, Ashish. He loves wildlife and reads and sketches on nature themes. We both have so much fun in collaborating our art this way.
I hope he continues with his love for art and we can do more of such wonderful work-:)
Wish you all a lovely weekend

ReplyDeleteHaving your son collaborate with you on a painting is marvelous. It will instill a love for art, I believe, because it is attached to doing something fun with Mom. Love how it turned out.
