Happy Tuesday dear Elizabeth and all my Tea friends. Today I'm having my cup of green tea with pears-:)
Couple of months ago, I had signed up for Pearology, a watercolor class by Martha Lever. My days were then so hectic but this class was so wonderful that I just found myself doing more and more pears.
Martha is a terrific instructor, she goes into detailed instructions, gives so many tips and ideas to make our own pears.
These are the pears that I did while learning...
The above painting was gifted to a dear neighbor of mine and she loved it-:) I guess the lighting is not good. These pears are actually in three different shades, deep yellow, green and red.
If you want to learn how to create watercolor pears, i highly recommend Pearology
I am on my way to paint another set for gifting someone very close to our family.
I also wanted to share a watercolor birthday card and a doodle page with the same medium that I had made for a friend whom I had met through one of the art classes that I had taken. It is a secret project, a wonderful idea put forward by her daughter.
I hope she will like these pieces-:)
Wishing you all a good week
Happy Halloween
Hugs
SusaN
Oh Susan what a fine array of pears you're sharing with us!
ReplyDeleteIt's clear you enjoyed the class and got some great results.
Your watercolor card and doodle page are wonderful too.
Happy T Day dear Susan oxo
Wonderful art, your pears look good enough to eat. Happy T Day and have a great week, hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed seeing the pears you made during your Pearology classes. Not only did you get some excellent results, it looks like you really had fun learning, too. They are simply gorgeous. The pears go well with your green tea, too.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed your doodle page, but that birthday card was simply over the top. It is beautiful. Thanks for sharing these gorgeous pears, doodles, and birthday card while sipping tea with us for T this Tuesday.
Your pears are really gorgeous Susan and it shows how you took to the class! And your cards are so beautiful-all of your art makes for special gifts. Happy T day!
ReplyDeleteYes, it's amazing what you can do with a pear. Not one is the same. I love your cards too. I'm going to art classes but it's drawing for now. I'll probably just experiment myself for a bit and see what comes of it. Your cards are an inspiration for me (as they don't look so terribly difficult,) especially the doodled one. So thanks for sharing,
ReplyDeleteHave a fab Tuesday and a very good week too,
Lisca
The idea of focusing an art class so narrowly makes a lot of sense now that I think about it, and I sure can't argue with your results :) Happy T Tuesday!
ReplyDeletethe pears are lovely, and I can see how they would become addicting...so many variations possible in shapes and color! Beautiful watercolor cards too...I am sure the recipient will be pleased! happy T day!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lot of juicy pears! :D They are all so lovely and I'm not surprised your neighbour loved her gift. I think the doodle page is full of fun and the roses card is awesome. Happy T Day :D
ReplyDeleteWhen I first saw your pears, I almost thought they were photos! They are really beautifully done, and the fact that you continue to paint them means you really enjoyed and got a lot out of the class!
ReplyDeleteMeant to say before I hit publish....Thank you so much for your kind comments....the exhibition runs at the Thielska Galleriet Museum in Stockholm until February 14, 2016.
ReplyDeleteI like all your various pear paintings. And the card and journal page, too. Sweet!
ReplyDeleteHappy T Day! :)
Your pears are great. I've never taken an online class but perhaps one day I will. Like your doodle page and the card as well. Time to get my paints out.
