Happy Tuesday everyone Today I have so many art pictures to share with you.
First, let me tell you that I'm having my usual cup of green tea today.Linking my cup of tea and art with Elizabeth at T stands for Tuesday .
The above page is from my daily journal which is also my 2016 DLP. This year the original DLP is created in a binder. But I chose to do it in my usual style, in a journal. On the left I added a cardstock and wrote my daily to do's and the normal day to day stuff. The middle page has the January calendar. On the right I did a collage page.
The DLP had prompts on doing an art card, a tag and the theme was to 'try something new in our page'
I did a water color and collage art card and a tag from recycled brown paper bag. I adhered both on my calendar page.
I have never used my water color images on my mixed media pages. I did a background using glimmer mist and Dylusion spray. Added modeling paste for texture and adhered the bike and windows watercolor images to the page. I completed it with a butterfly mask and outlined it with the black and white twine. Love how it has come out.
The exciting part of doing a mixed media piece is you never know what the outcome can be. I'm totally in love with this result-:)
Another project I'm totally in love with is the 31 Day Drawing Challenge by Lisa Congdon. Pen or Pencil sketches are not my thing but this projeCT has now become a favorite of mine.
Day-5 Roses
Day-6 Sneakers
Day -7 Pitchers
Day -8Cats
Day -9 Birds
Day-10 Mushrooms
Day -11 Brooms
The third challenge I'm in for this month is Lisa Sonora's 31 Day art journal. This one is also a great project. But, sadly I could not keep up with it as I'm also busy with a bigger project this month. I will share more on it in the next month-:)
I finished only till Day -6. But I'm not leaving this project. Hopefully, I'll try to finish it atleast by February.
Day-5
This is my take on what happens when problems overwhelm me...
Day-6 was all about self conciousness and how it can ruin our art
If you have come till here, Thank you so much for going through my art and always encouraging me with your kind words. Thank you Elizabeth for hosting this wonderful community of Tea lovers-:) We are all able to share and see so many new things here, all thanks to you.
Wishing you all a happy week
Hugs
Susan
Dear Susan you have always created such wonderful art projects but you are truly blossoming and growing even more. Your journal pages are marvelous(love how you used baker's twine on the butterfly). And your sketches-WOW!! They are just brilliant! And now you have so many sketches you can copy individually, paint and add to your mixed media art:) Happy T day!

Your art is beautiful this week and goes so well with your green tea. I adore the beautiful mixed media of the DLP pages, especially the pocket and the butterfly wrapped in baker's twine.
ReplyDeleteLooks like both you and Lorraine are in the same Lisa Congdon class. I love the sketches and the pitchers are right on the money for T day.
Although I simply ADORE the sketches and DLP pages, I was taken back by the prompts given by Lisa Sonora. Even though your art is incredibly beautiful, I don't care for the negativity of the prompts, instead preferring to choose POSITIVE prompts.
Thanks for sharing these beauties as well as your tea with us for T this Tuesday, dear Susan.
Your art is wonderful Susan. Thank you so much for sharing with us... I love how your sketches show there is no right or wrong way to draw something... there are as many variations as our imagination will allow... :) Imagine how much fun that journal will be to go thru years from now... Happy Belated Tday! Hugs! deb
ReplyDeleteLoving the colour and imagination at work on your journal pages, the 60's style figure is my favourite... no... the butterfly... oh help, love them all! Sorry I am so late in coming by but I finally made it!
