Day-23

Morning dear Elizabeth and all other friends at T stands for Tuesday I am so sorry that I have not been able to visit you all. I am loving these challenges but am never finding enough time to visit  everyone.
Anyways today I want to share my second page from my Fall Journal. I had written about the 'No-Sew' Journal that I made in my last post.
My cup has my usual morning coffee.

Above is a Fall line by one of my favorite poets Emily Dickinson, " Every leaf speaks Bliss to me, fluttering from the Autumn."

This is a mixed media piece that I did on Strathmore 140lb sheet. The background has been done using Dylusion Sprays and the Yoga silhouette in deli paper. I stencilled the word "BELIEVE" on the page and now I've no idea why it is not straight! I guess it is how I took the picture-:) In real everything is aligned the right way.

I'm linking my post to  30 Paintings in 30 Days and 29 Faces.
And now I am going to visit as many of you as I can.
Have a wonderful week everyone

Day-22

Welcome Fall, my favorite season of the year. I'm already excited to see all the slight changes that are happening in nature-:)

I made a Fall Journal and am planning to paint so many fall themed pieces here. This is a 'no sew' book that I learned from one of the tutorials provided by Cathy Johnson.

Today we had the weather in 60's. After dropping my son at school I decided to walk back home. I found a beautiful fall leaf and this is my first painting of my favorite season.

More fall colored leaves on the left side of my journal

This is the front cover of my journal. Again it is also handmade, rich in layers of paint and texture.

The inside of the book is almost similar to an accordion journal.

The back cover of the book.

This is my Face-22 for the 29 Faces Challenge. This pretty girl's drawing is after Danielle Donaldson's Creative Girl from her online class of the same name. I have made it a little different from her original creation. Love her and am already thinking of  creating more of these cute ladies...

Day--20

Iris Day 20/30
30 Paintings in 30 Days

Face 20 of 29 Faces.
When I was doing her face I couldn't wipe off that watercolor from her cheeks. I started getting stressed, but then I again remembered that things need not be perfect. There are many people who have scars or birth marks on their faces, right?-:)  You can see a beauty in that too.

Thank you for visiting

Day-19

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Y6YVLXprII  Found this link and it is so worth watching-:)

Hello Friday,  I'm ready to share my Day-19 post here.
This watercolor leaf  was painted from a real leaf that I found yesterday during my morning walk.
This is my piece for 30 Paintings in 30 Days.

Day-18 Face for 29 Faces. I'm not very happy with the faces that I'm creating but am trying to be content with what I come up with as most of these faces are done within 10-15 minutes.

I'm still grateful for being able to do art everyday. If these challenges were not there then I wouldn't have bothered to take out my supplies and give them a try.

Hopefully I'll be able to hop on to some of my favorite blogs today. That is one bad thing about being busy everyday creating, taking pictures and posting them here. I'm not able to visit my fellow bloggers and see their lovely art and send them comments.I'm going to try my best today

Have a lovely weekend.

T stands for Day 9/30

Hello Elizabeth and everyone at T stands for Tuesday. I'm continuing with the two September challenges.I have no cup of tea or coffee to share today but a bottle of plain water.
This painting was an idea that evolved in the morning. I had painted the flowers yesterday night and was not happy with them. Today, as I just sat there and stared at the page I visualized this girl's face and from there it got easy... I just completed it and love how it has evolved-:)

Day-3

Hello dear Elizabeth and all my other "Tea" time friends. All of a sudden it is as if Summer is in its full swing here. It is so hot and humid that I am feeling tired all the time:-)  I'm always keeping a big bottle of water with me to drink nowadays. That's my daily journal sitting next to the bottle.

For Day-3, of 30  Paintings in 30 Days  I did this owl painting. In my college days I had the luck to see and touch a baby owl and they are one of the softest and most gentle birds I have ever come across.
I'm doing this challenge on water color paper and am adhering them to an old book.

This is my Day-3 Face for the 29 Faces Challenge. Many layers of stamping has gone on this page.
So far I've been doing these challenges on card stock and then adheres them to a Moleskin notebook. This way I can always come back and journal my thoughts if I want.

Lastly, I also want to share my page on Week-36 challenge from the DLP. It was to use 'black and white' and this is what I came up with.
Thank you for being here.
Linking my page to T stands for Tuesday  (OMG! I didn't even realize that today is Wednesday) Anyways I'm linking my page
I'll be back again tomorrow with two new creations.
