Last week's challenge for the DLP was to add five layers that we love.
Layer-1 was to adhere book page to the journal. Next, I covered it with white texture medium
Layer-3 I added water colors to the page and traced and painted the heron.
This is the page I came up with
Layer-4 was to add a scrap paper to it.
And finally the black and white circles were added to the page.
Love taking part in challenges. They really help in stretching our imagination and playing with the supplies.
I am linking my page to paintpartyfriday and Julie's Art Journal Everyday
Love the soothing colors and summery feel to your heron page Susan! I agree with you about the challenges too:)
ReplyDeleteLovely work! You would be welcome to link to Art Journal Journey, too, our theme is things with wings. Valerie
ReplyDeleteWonderful background for your heron. I see a distant horizon and beautiful water (good fishing no doubt).
ReplyDeleteWow I love this page thank you for sharing your process, there is so much to see in this piece of art.
