Whimsical Spring

I made this page out of colored tissue paper. I made a spring page with colored tissues as craft for the kids. Loved the result and wanted one in my Art Journal too. Added all the pretty bead butterflies among the leaves.

 Below is part of the poem by Robert Burns :
                       "Again rejoicing nature sees
                        Her robe assume its vernal hues
                        Her leafy locks wave in the breeze
                        All freshly steep'd in the morning dews."

Art Journal-9

I created this collage page with more of the painted tissues. The flowers and the strip of papers are all out of tissues painted using water colour, acrylic and glitter. The flowers are glued to a background wash done using water color pencil and some circle stamping done with a drinking straw-:)

Texture-Inspiration Avenue

This week's Art journalling is filled with so many layers of paint and patterns. Last Sunday night, I was playing around with tissue papers and different kinds of paint mediums. I  loved making my art, my hands and the table messy. This was the result:

The pages below were done directly on the journal. It's richly textured with paints, pens and stamps. I wish I knew how to use my camera well as the real page is so rich and beautiful than what is shown here.

Will post more pictures on these two layouts along with the journaling on Friday.
