Tuesday Art

Happy June to everyone. It has not been a great morning for me. I'd been trying to upload the photos and update my blog but my computer is being very difficult. Hope it is not a major issue.
Today I wanted to share some art that I created after some classes.
Last month I had signed up for Alisa Burke's mini online class, Flower Power. The above doodle is something that I did after her class.

The above page is after Melody Ross' class, The Walk. On the left I've done a self-portrait and have journaled about myself. On the right there is more journaling on all that I have been blessed with.

Hope you all have a great week

Happy Tuesday

My morning spearmint flavored green tea and watercolor sketch for Elizabeth's T Stands for Tuesday. I'm all inspired by Spring and am busy sketching birds and bees-:)

I'm currently taking Melody Ross's/ Brave Girl's Club's online class, The Walk. Melody speaks about the Campfire and the Carnival in the first lesson.

The Campfire stands for all the good things and good people in our lives. We are surrounded by the people who have only good intentions and kind thoughts for us. They are the people who are there with us in both our good and not so good times of our journey.

The Carnival stands for the fake people and experiences that we have in our lives, where we think the world of illusion is the real one, where we are just trying to juggle with so many things, expecting success and happiness. But in the end we are only faced with disappointment.
Well, this is the gist of the first lesson and it does make one think about one's true goals and destinations in life.

I did my own art for both the themes. Melody had given a 'map' idea for us to use, instead I chose to use my watercolors and do the sketches of  both the themes. I then journaled on the pages about what they mean to me.

That is all for this week.Wishing you all a great Tuesday
Thank you for always encouraging me with your kind words

T stands for Tuesday

Hello to dear Elizabeth and all others at T stands for Tuesday. I'm back from my three week trip to India. It was  wonderful to be back home, to see my parents and other loved ones. The only thing was that it was a short vacation and we didn't get much time to be with our relations or friends... Both my kids fell sick too But otherwise by God's grace we had a great time.

When we were in India we visited a Tea factory. I will do a post on that later but I wanted to share this lemon flavored green tea which was so delicious. I bought some other flavored tea too which I'll share here in the coming weeks.

As for art, this is a handmade journal that I gifted to a dear friend in India. The cover was done using many layers of paint, stencils, stamps and tissues. Inside on each page, I added some inspiring quotes.

The above 'map' is from an online class that I'm currently taking. It is known as The Walk which is hosted by Melody Ross. This is the first map that I created which has lot of positive statements that reflect who I'm. I still have a long way to go with this class. But  I'm waiting to get into the mood of creating again.

Wishing you all a great week. I missed my blog and friends here. Hope to catch up with you all soon.
